Sobre a condecoração solene na Embaixada
No dia 18 de dezembro de 2018 na Embaixada da Rússia em Lisboa foi realizada a cerimónia solene dedicada à condecoração do Exmo. Sr. Dr. João Breda, chefe do Escritório da Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) para doenças crônicas não transmissíveis, com sede em Moscovo.

The Foreign Ministry expected that a veto on the US draft resolution to extend the mandate of the Joint Investigative Mechanism of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the United Nations on October 24 would be immediately followed by harsh attacks against Russia by a number of western countries.

On October 24, 2017, the UN Security Council voted on the US-sponsored draft resolution calling for a hasty extension of the mandate of the OPCW-UN Joint Investigative Mechanism (JIM) into the use of chemical weapons in Syria even before the release of a report on its activities this year.
