Following the request of the leadership of the Portuguese Republic, the Russian Government adopted a decision to provide urgent assistance to Portugal to fight wildfires in the north of the country. Russia’s Emergencies Ministry will send two Be-200 firefighting planes, which should arrive in Portugal early in the morning of August 13, where they will join Portuguese forces to combat the natural disaster over the next week.
