Third Russia-Portugal Business Forum “Innovation: New opportunities and challenges” will take place online on 03rd December 2020
Embassy of Russia in Portugal and CCILR Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luso-Russian are honored organizers of Forum.
This year, Russian and Portuguese businessmen, participating remotely in business and industrial sessions, will discuss possible opportunities and tendencies of development of bilateral cooperation while post-covid reality and adaptation to new conditions of business development. Objective of Forum is to foster further direct dialogue between innovation industries of both counties in such areas as renewable energy, shipbuilding, robotics, IT, regional cooperation and others.
During the opening session Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Portuguese republic M. Kamynin and President of CCILR Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luso-Russian B. Cota will held the welcoming introduction. Key speakers of business sessions will be represented by innovation centers, chambers of commerce and industry, industrial associations, companies, industrially developed regions of both Russia and Portugal. Signing of agreements of cooperation between CCILR and other entities are planned. As a previously established tradition, Forum will take place during one of the largest IT conferences in Europe “Web Summit”, which will allow to attract to Forum professionals of various areas globally. In 2018 in business session of First Russia-Portugal Business Forum such companies and representatives of relevant innovation and It-structures as Techno-park in high technologies IT-Park Kazan, Russian Venture Company (one of the biggest start-up accelerator programs “GenerationS”), Armaks (solutions in “Smart City” area), Yandex company, Kaspersky Laboratory company among others have done their presentations. B2B meetings were organised for delegation of Skolkovo Fund. Vice-Minister of Digital development, communication and mass media of the Russian Federation A. Sokolov took part in both Forum and “Web Summit” conference.
In 2019 in Second Russia-Portugal Business Forum more than 150 entrepreneurs took part representing high technologies from more than 100 companies and start-ups both from Russia and Portugal. A lot of interest was revealed for the presentations of Skolkovo Fund (its tools to support companies and start-ups), Russian Venture company (ways of support of technological companies of medium range), interactive educational program Global Management Challenge, Russian Leader Club regarding promoting business initiatives (best business practices), as well as Portuguese agency “Invest Madeira”. More than 20 B2B meetings were organized among possible partners.
